Regional Consumer Electronics distributor engages Technology Associates to improve supply chain processes in Eastern Europe.
KRIPA INTERNATIONAL is a global consumer electronics distributor with a strong presence and warehousing facilities in Russia & CIS, Finland, Hongkong, Singapore and Dubai. The group wished to automate their high-value, high-turnover business across all locations. The system required consolidated management reporting on inventory, sales and financial information. The Moscow operations are one of the largest of the group and they are the largest distributor for Sony and Panasonic.
Technology Associates, Dubai was invited for a consultancy engagement to Kripa Moscow to help them re-structure their supply chain systems and inventory cost structures. A critical requirement for Kripa was to move inventory quickly between each of their global locations in alignment to local demands. Key to this need was to apply correct valuation of stock at each zone to include the logistics costs that would augment the base warehouse stock prices. Ambiguities at this level seeped major revenue losses in the past. The financial and inventory management systems were customized in such a way that depending upon the cubic metre volume of material moved, every additional cost was appropriated to each individual stock items arriving at the precise value of inventory at each location. The system was also customized to offer important sales order processing benefits such that at the time of sales order entry itself, sales personnel have access to information viz, stock in hand, expected stock and Nett stock inclusive of orders already booked, but not yet executed.
System security control was incorporated to enable lower rung user’s access only to the information covering their sphere of work. Significant customizations were also undertaken on document and MIS reporting. An extensive training was conducted to the mainly Russian speaking end users.
Technology Associates were proud to partner Kripa on our first project in Eastern Europe
